Dear customers and members of the canoeing community,
It is with sadness that I announce the passing of our friend Michel Pouliot, former owner and founder of the company Expedition Rivière Noire.
Michel was a pioneer in the canoeing community in the Pontiac region. He left his mark in 1978 by initiating his first shuttles and later founding his canoe camping company in 1996. His passion for adventure and dedication to nature forged strong bonds within the community.
Michel was a man with great listening skills, a wealth of life experience, and wisdom that resonated through his advice. His knowledge of forest paths and rivers, known like the back of his hand, reflected his love for the Pontiac region and his commitment to his clients. His kindness, generosity, and benevolence were contagious, and Michel was appreciated by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michel, you will be missed. We will keep the flame of your memories and teachings alive. Bon voyage, dear friend, may your journey to the beyond be as serene as the rivers you loved to traverse.
